Andrea B. Darden, AAMS

Andrea Darden is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Darden Wealth Group, which she established in 2018 to deliver independent, education-focused wealth management to individuals, families and businesses.

Andrea began her career as National Securities Coordinator for Capital Resource Group, then returned to Michigan as a Vice President and Financial Consultant with a national brokerage firm. Seeking to offer clients a more personal, independent standard of service, she joined Chisholm & Dames Investment Advisors and later became a partner. During her tenure, the firm doubled in size and grew assets under management by 500%.

Andrea holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation and has served as an Associate Professor teaching Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) coursework. Her interest in markets began at age 12, when she prepared investment reports for her family.

Andrea attended Stetson University on a basketball scholarship, later playing semi-pro basketball. She has a passion for helping businesses and families reach their financial goals.

Andrea enjoys giving financial workshops and lectures at the University of Michigan as part of her dedication to financial education for all.

Andrea is married to Prof. Marcus Darden who teaches Computer Science at the University of Michigan. Marcus is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, and the University of Michigan. They have two children, Catherine, and Marcus, Jr. In Prof. Darden's spare time you can find him playing saxophone with the band, Global Village, which has opened for such big names as Smokey Robinson, Journey, SmashMouth, and more.
